Simple as. I don't want him sacked this season, full stop. Don't quote me what if's, I'm backing him through this spell. I do not see the point in changing manager yet again when it's got us exactly where we are. I have faith in Lee to turn this around, the players seem to be behind him, the board must be too, and we can still make something of this season, with some cracking games coming up between now and Christmas. Feel free to add your support to Lee in this thread. To those who want him out, can you please use the myriad other threads out there for that. Cheers. Lee Johnson's Red & White Army.
I'm with you mate. I think Lee has some quick learning to do and would benefit from someone with experience both on and off the pitch but I'm sure he can sort it out.
That's a bit of a switch from all the down beat mood of Saturday night, in fact so much so it makes me think the cliques been round to Whitey Towers and had a quiet work
Andy mate can you explain other than having blind faith, what makes you believe that he can turn it around. The football on offer week in week out is absolutely garbage , the blind are leading the blind. Im sorry and its not often i disagree with what you post but i havent seen anthing on offer that says this team can do anything but drop like stones whilst adhering to LJs tactics. Individually we have on paper some good kids however once again off paper they are nothing but a shambles. Sacking him mmmmmm id be surprised if cyrne and the mob went down this path...i just think he fits in with their master plan and exit stratergy unfortunately i think its going to be whats best for PC rather than BFC. I might be wrong only time will tell. I honestly believe weve even further to fall before it bottoms out, as ive said earlier the silence from the club is speaking volumes dont you think. Working on past records theyve sacked managers with better returns why should this one be different. i wrote some weeks ago that i wouldnt shout for him to loose his job .... i wrote he didnt need my help as he was and is fair capable of costing himself the job that said why should he worry they gave him a 3year contract either way stick or twist it wont effect his pocket, so why should he care.
On the plus side Whitey, they will have somebody they can trust to turn the lights off and lock up when you leave, because if it doesn't pick up there will be hardly any other bugger there!
Me too! The only way I can follow BFC is this BSS and Barnsley Player. It's very depressing on both sites.
We were extremely poor on Saturday, not much better (if at all) in the previous couple of home matches. But I'm still backing Johnson. Others aren't, which is their right. I am, which is mine. It's not a case of one side of an argument being right & the other wrong. It's simply a difference of opinion, of what is perceived to be the best course of action for the club with regards to his employment, along with both the short and long term future of the club. I may not agree with the views of some others on the subject, but they have every right to air them. This situation ought to be reciprocated.
Can't agree mate. If we lose the next two or three he will be rightly given the boot. If we were playing amazing football and getting unlucky results then I'd be all for it, but we aren't. We've been appalling. You can't just give a man time because we 'can't sack another manager'. I'm not willing to flirt with League Two, and I fear that with Johnson in charge we will be doing that. Sometimes you just have to admit you're backing the wrong horse. Really hope he proves me wrong and we go on a run. I'm a Reds fan and want us to win games of football, but can you really see us picking up points at Scunny and Coventry?
Don't be silly. Do I seem so easily swayed? I've never once said anything but. I might be feeling disconnected, I might have my issues with how the club is run, the strategy of signing infinite amount of loanees etc, but I have never said I want the manager removed, quite the opposite. I've just taken it a step further after some thought tonight, by making it known that I want him in situ for the full season at least. Who was the last manager to be allowed that, a full season? Keith Hill, 2011-12. Are you telling me the four seasons since have worked out well for us, changing manager part way through? No, thought not. I want to see what happens if we don't sack a manager, I want to see what happens if we show him support, backing, a bit of ******* faith. Call it blind faith if you like, I wouldn't blame you, it's very difficult on the face of things to be positive right now about LJ. I've my own issues with him, I'm ****** if I know what he's doing at times. But let's make him work for his salary, rather than giving him a pay off for failing at the first sign of bother. I'm giving him this season. You lot can agree or disagree. And anyway, the only opinions that matter are those held by board members and the custodian of the club. We're merely a hundred or so wallies on a forum, there's 8,000 or so more of us who regularly support the club. One of us even falls asleep on the pot at games. I bet he still wants LJ sacked despite not seeing the game, or his hat, shoes and mobile. You Cosmic Reds.
Johnson In. I like the guy, he's a young manager, and I hope we give him a few seasons to actually build and show us what he can do. I don't think we'll go down this year, we always have these stages of the season where we look like the titanic, but I'm confident it will get better, it usually does after 6 or 7 games of $hittiness... Prove the doubters wrong, Lee.
