i don't listen to 'em anymore. managers and players are just hard wired to come out with the same boll0cks, week in week out. LJ is no exception, he shouldn't get any special mention really.

Not listened to him for months now. The 'little triggers on the pitch' was the last straw for me.

I get sick of managers spouting a load of bull and trying to polish a turd.

For once Lee Jay lets just be blunt and call a spade a spade .

If its super then fine but if its carp don't try and pull the wool over peoples eyes.

    It won't work!!!!

A ridiculous statement and he expects us to have confidence in him!

God help us if we lose against Crewe

Hes getting like keith Hill where as every team we play are superb in one way or another. Think if we drew Glasshoughton in the FA cup he would bull them up into something they arn't just incase we didn't get a result

Or more like there's very little that anybody can say that will make people happy after we've lost.

It'd just be nice to hear something that remotely reflects the truth. I've said in another thread I'm fully behind him but I stopped listening/reading what he has to say weeks ago.

What is the truth? Most of the time people on here can't agree on things so there'll always be people who disagree with 'the truth' as said by the manager. For example, I've read a number of accounts of Donny match on here that I've thought are complete rubbish and don't reflect my view of the truth.

And even if we did all agree and there was a single truth, I bet you if Johnson started saying it he'd attract criticism for something or other, no doubt something like 'pointing out our flaws can't be building confidence in the players' or some such other tedious argument.

Don't blame you for stopping listening but the truth is though it doesn't matter a single bit what Johnson says. I'd we're winning people will accept it, if we're not people will find some reason to criticise him - it's ever been thus.

Fair points mate, not going to disagree.

It was far from 'excellent' though. I just can't get my head around that comment, although tbh I'm only reacting to what's been posted on here so I've not heard it in context.

Most managers are the same. They either describe a match that most fans weren't at or they blame the referee for their own mistakes.

One of the things I always liked about Robins was that he was never afraid to say when we were poor. The last manager we've had who's been that way.

To be honest I just listened to it myself. It was a minor comment in a long interview which was more along the lines of 'we didn't play that badly and on another day we probably would have got the points' - which was exactly how I saw the match.
