I remember him being tidy and neat in possession. A good passer of the ball but often failing to make an impact. Not great but no *****.
He was a bang average championship player but solid & dependable. Got a bit of stick at Bristol for been the gaffers son but the fans warmed to him. I'd say he'd got quite a bit in common with Hassell & Foster in that he was your loyal 7 out of 10 player most games. Never a star but a solid pro
The neat and tidy central midfielder. The epitome of the modern pointless player. No wonder he thinks our football is "technical".
I find it strange that he seemingly learnt very little about tactics and changing formations to counter the opposition or even motivation in those playing days, and why he would feel that he should then go into management with the little he did apparently learn from those days. Seems odd.
