orcording to the rotherham advertiser rotherham have turned down a 125k bid for williamson from us. he would be a reight signing. Live in rotherham and all the fans speak very highly of him.

 

To be fair

I doubt a player would need to be that good at the moment for Rotherham fans to be able to speak highly of them....not much to choose from!

 

Are Rotherham in a financial position to turn down £125 000 ?

I can believe we've made an offer for the lad ( he's been the only shining light during the past twelve , gloomy months at Millmoor ) , but with Rotherham needing to find another £1m before the start of next season , £125 000 seems an awfully large amount of money to reject . I wonder if it's a way of trying to convince their fans that the future isn't as bleak as some of the supporters think .(chinny)

It just seems to me that a club in dire financial straits are hardly in a position to continually turn down bids for their players . Still , the Advertiser is saying that's exactly what they're doing .
I wouldn't mind seeing him here , though .

Alright buddy ? Impressed with our signings this week ( plus , hopefully , Darren Ward ) and the players we're rumoured to be interested in . I think the possibility of another three signings before August 5th ( four if you include Ward ) is now quite realistic .
The new season can't start soon enough for me .
