has grayson actually said he wanted him? I don't recall him saying anything about the lad. To be fair, if leeds wanted a player and barnsley wanted a player, the player would go to leeds. No offence to barnsley fans, but leeds is a much bigger club.

Ah well, i bet Robinson and Snoddy would **** all over him anyday

He would have had a point 5 years ago

just overlooks the minor detail that Leeds are playing in a pub league these days which does make it a bit harder to attract or keep players - Hopefully someone will sign Beckford this month definitely condemming them to staying put a while longer.

Leeds wanted him. He turned them down. He also turned down Watford.

    That is the truth.

I wasn't quite spot-on, but the gist of it was correct.

I knew we'd got him, I knew about the three-year-contract, and I knew he rejected Leeds and Watford.

He didn't sign on Saturday, though. I was led to believe things had been concluded Friday night and he was coming up to Barnsley the following day. Apologies for jumping the gun.

(You'll be waiting a bloody long time for another exclusive, because I just happened to get very, very lucky!)
