Joking right?! Big thanks were expected of him and he failed miserably.

He could not control a ball to save his life, his first touch was shocking.

I also lost count at the amount of one-on-one's he missed, kept falling over the ball and diving too.

Several Championships clubs interested in him but Leeds have shown the most interest.

You can bet that if he goes to a Championship team like say, Wednesday he will score buckets loads for them!

 

We Should Never Have Got Him On Loan

Davey was deluded to think he could do a decent job for us. I think most of us on here at the time were unhappy with his loan signing.

Most people on here were very excited by his signing. And Davey was in no way deluded. Mifsud has a good scoring record at this level.

I remember when we brought him in before the trip to Hillsborough most were very pleased to have got some what of a high calibre CCC player in!

I like most others thought he'd do a job for us, after Wednesday away everyone was praising him for all the off the ball running he does.

He had been a major let down after that by all accounts.

Caught in the act how? I'm putting up thumbs to the fact that he wants to play in an attacking team, which was something we rarely saw last season.

 

You said we should never have signed him in the frst place and folk on here wern't happy with the signing. I remember well that everyone was over the moon with the Mifsud signing, a big name who was proven at CCC Level. By all account at that thread you were too. Davey wasn't deluded either, for Davey to persuade Mifsud to come was an achievement in itself when other CCC Teams were after him, aswell as interest from La Liga; some folk just like to have a dig at Davey.

All that being said, i'm just glad we didn't shirk out the £300,000 pound for him on a 3 year contract, that was the permanent deal offered to him and Coventry, supposedly dragged on a little too much though.

Or he didn't want to sign a 3 year contract to a team that looked like going down!

 

For me he had an horrible reputation, hadn't scored many so they tried him in a new position where he continued not to score and then we got him on loan and put him back to his original position and expected him to score plenty from the off. Anyway lets just be glad he's not coming back.
