There's absolutely no chance of this happening, have it on pretty decent authority. Our best bet is catching Birmingham/Blackpool/Charlton. Going to be tough!
Shame... Never usually wish admin on.the supporters of any club but Leeds are of course a notable exception, for reasons I need not point out to BBS readers!! I live there and noticed that the club shop in the City centre has closed down this week. Was hoping that was an omen, just as 'Reds in Town' shutting was when we went under in 2002!!
Not going into admin but can't pay the wages? Only 15% of their remaining 50% outstanding paid today. That's probably scraping gate receipts from Tuesday. Crowd down to 17,000. If they weren't that skint and relying on Cellino, why aren't they paying wages? they also can't afford to sack BMD as he has 2 years left on contract at £700k per year.
Talking of admin, please can admin change the title of this thread? I keep noticing it and wasting 15 minutes of my life rolling around on the floor laughing uncontrollably with my legs kicking in the air. Then I realise it's not (yet) true.
There's some fella on twitter that tweets about numbers involved in football and he's done a fair bit on the leeds takeover etc. If Cellino fails the FFP test and the appeal (which he probably will) he can legally and contractually pass his option on the club to somebody else to buy but only at the same price that he agreed. how is this fair and what's the point in the test if he can get somebody to buy it for him?!
That would be a big risk by him though as I understand it if he puts money up in someone else's name he wouldn't have a legal claim if they did the dirty and claimed it as their own.
Can anyone say that for certain? They may have no plans to apply for administration, but if one of their creditors, of which there must be many, seeks a winding up order, so the club can be liquidated in order to repay creditors, then Leeds will have no choice but to apply for administration to prevent closure and the sale of all there assets. When you've no money, the decision to enter administration is not in your hands. They're in a perilous position.
Very true stuff, but what would happen if he was to pass the money to a new consortium to buy on his behalf so to speak, they pass the fit and proper tests etc and own the club then Cellino walks in as a late comer to the party? or because he's failed the tests is he blacklisted in every way shape and form in English football?
Only way out is if there's someone poised with bags of cash if this chap gets the knock back. Or unless Leeds are agreed with creditors that they won't come knocking Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Also, if it were true that there's no chance of them entering administration, why would they keep saying that there's no chance of them going into administration? If there really is no chance, they wouldn't need to say anything and no-one would think it anyway. As things stand, as you say, it won't be their decision anyway, it will be a decision forced on them by an outside party.
I think what he is saying is that it won't be allowed to happen, ie there's enough people with enough money to make sure it won't happen. Hope not! But I think it's unrealistic to pin our hopes on insolvency proceedings of the scum to save us based on what he's told me.
BBC reporting they have a tax bill of up to £800,000 due 4th April (Today). But money already spent on the 50% players wages. The other 15% paid was Tuesday nights gate receipts. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/26881825 HMRC can begin a winding up order if unpaid (Think they have 14 days to settle). Tonights 6pm announcement of appeal decision has also been delayed.
