Cant understand those in charge of some clubs letting their managers loose on the transfer window only to sack them within 2 weeks of it closing. Or is it a manager on the brink will be happy with less to spend than an incoming one.
Well at Huddersfield Town there are rumours Nigel Hoyle wasn't pleased in the past few months with the conduct of Lee Clark. When he was being touted for the Leicester job he didn't knock it back, and when he was linked to the Leeds job last week he yet again didn't take the opportunity to knock it back. The loyalty the chairman has shown the manager wasn't returned.
It will be a hard choice for Harry too. Stay with Tottenham or go to Weeds. England is a **** option when compared with this opportunity.
So I`ve been reading Dreamy but its not that long ago seeing them on tv and they could praise each other highly enough. Strange not much loyalty shown in football these days.
I'd say Huddersfield have the potential to be a lot bigger club than us. Huddersfield have a similar history to Leeds United in terms of domestic honours, its just that Leeds history started as late as 1969 prior to which they'd won bugger all. Huddersfield - founded 1910, Div 1 Champions three seasons on the trot 1924,1925,1926 - Runners up three times. FA Cup winners once, runners-up 4 times, Record crowd 67,037. Leeds United - founded 1919. Div 1 Champions 1969, 1974, 1992 - runners up five times. FA Cup winners once, runners-up three times, League Cup winners once. Record crowd 57,892
You can see the point of the owner. He gave Clark his big break in management and backed him with a budget many championship clubs including ourselves would be happy with. Yet when linked in recent months to a number of different jobs he never once sounded committed to where he was. This all coincided with a drop in league form. Even when they went unbeaten for ages they were never top and drew an awful lot. Then he's got guys on 6-8k a week like Antony Kay and Joey Gudjonson who he doesn't even put on the bench, which is a waste of money.
Both If the question is 'which clubs should disappear into the pits of hell and their supporters be forever rammed up the arse by red hot pokers' ? And Liverpool, Celtic and Spurs.
Aye he took full benefit of being out contract by getting a wage he wouldn't have if a transfer fee had been involved. The majority of their fans I know actually like him and wish he got more games.
What you mean all those `he`s a pisshead' statements. Howard and Kay and bacon butty Ritchie. Head tennis, to me to you to me to you.
