Whether he's 33 or not mate he has scored regularly for the likes of Chelsea and Rangers and played dozens of times for his country. Hull Leeds and even Southend are being ambitious in trying to keep in this league. Meantime Barnsley FC get knocked back on a £25k bid for a Bury player and wasted money on McCann cos that lad like most of the squad ain't good enough. The money spent on McCann should have been used on loan wages for a proper player ie: Lucketti / Kabba / Shipperley etc etc

This board have already accepted relegation and are pulling in the purse strings already to cope with the financial loss of relegation. This will be obvioulsy offset by selling our best players and NOT spending any coin to keep us in this league. Don't tape over the play off final or the play off games on sky cos thats it mate for years to come. Relegation will kill this club and set back years. I can remember the dark days of average gates of 4/5 k and thats where I can see us going again I'm afraid.

Do you really believe that utter tripe you've just muttered?!? Its only been 5 days and already your moaning, we'll sign players before the end of January and if we don't get the Flo's of this world, then just get behind them and stop wasting time moaning about Shepperd and Cryne.

How are hull, leeds and southend been ambitous exactly? Eastwood looks likely to leave, is that ambition? Leeds have signed players 4 days into the market does this mean they are the right players or best available?

Flo played for Chelsea 7 years ago, sundeland 4 years ago how did he do then? At Rangers he was in a poor league and struggled at got slated by the fans, he is a name player, how many on here wnated horsefield oh yeah he done well hasn't he? How many wanted kaziem Richards? who woyuld you rather have now, one from ex prem strugglin and no doubt on huge wages the other from LOWER league and looks to be a great asset!!!

Shipperley as much as i would love him back he has not played all year and has been injured so i do not want him now what good would he be taking 4 or 5 games to get match fit???

The players mention are available for transfer and given the chance Sheff u would much prefer the cash to loan moves where no doubt they would still have to pay part of the wages!!

Think you need a reality check and need to relise that there are some good players in the lower leagues and that we have to work on a small budget to not go back to the days of admin and 4-5k crowds! It does not matter where a player comes from or what they have done in the past they all have to prove themselves NOW. Would you sign sharp or mcloud given the chance?

How do you messure ambition?? Spending loads of money, worked ok for birmingham and leeds didn't it?
Or is it keeping your best players at the club, maybe when they wnat to move and it make financial sense to sell them if you know they are not going to stay anyway?
Is it by been in the papers saying you are going to do this and that over the next fews years and spouting how good we are going to?

You have goals and ambitions, short term you want to stay in this league, long term you hope to build to getting the prem or higher up, short term you want to sort the finances out so longer term it benefits the club by having cash to spend no matter what league we are in.

The club cannot do wrong for right, we need a backup keeper we sign one everyone is up in arms, we are linked with KZR again not good enough lower league rubbish shouts, then the board are now rubbish or AR for not signing him!!

Wake up be realistic, i'm not saying the borad are perfect but in some eyes we cannot do no good!

I know for a fact if we sign someone non league or league 2 striker for example you'll get the usual fickle fans making judgements before even seeing the lad play the same fans that would then be worshipping that player if he scored the goals to keep us up, but then moan at the board who signed him if we later sold him lack of ambition etc

i wish somene could tell me how you messure ambition becasue to me ambition is a long term goal which you have to build towards by achieving short terms goals!!!!!

The likes of Leeds Hull and Southend who are our "relegation rivals" are in talks with players and making "serious" bids for players. Leeds have Alan Thompson coming down for talks and Southend have had a £300k bid for a player turned down and will buy players from the Freddie Eastwood sale.

Question for you then ??? £100k spent on McCann or £100k spent on loan wages for experienced Ex Prem / Championship players. ???? Does the £25k Bury player make you excited ?????

If I was a L**ds fan I'd be more excited about signing Flo Thompson etc etc etc cos then you can see the club sharing the same passion as the fans in wanting to stay up.

Plus the RUFC chairman quoted in press and radio today saying that they have already turned down written bids in excess of £250k for Williamson so why to BFC only bid £200k ????????????????????? Tell ya why mate its a PR stunt by the board.

So - Southend offer £300k for a player that is turned down = showing ambition (even though the money would have to come from selling their star player)

Barnsley offering £200k for a player and being turned down = publicity stunt!

Yet hear we are 1 week into January and the only quality we did sign was Macindoe and what did they do ???? saw the kerching of the cash machine and flogged him. We have no time at all to take gambles on the likes of the Bury chap or McCann we need proven old heads NOW or we are doomed. As for there is no money, where has the coin gone since promotion ??????

Dosen't add up for me that Eaststander for me thats a bit of flannel for the fans to think the board are serious.

Like it or not Eastwood will go for big bucks and Southend know that 1 man alone won't keep them alive but several players for the £2 or £3 million they'll get for him will.
