If I disliked them before I despise them now. What a crock of ****, I thought the new 10 point penalty was introduced to stop exactly this kind of thing happening. I guess you can't blame Leeds, if it was usI would be over the moon, but the system stinks.
I still blame Leeds granted it's because of the system, and they are using it to their advantage. Blame Bates, the F.A and dirty dirty Leeds. Still...24th though...gotta make you smile a little bit
Would you honestly expect them to wait in their position? 10 point deduction is a stupid rule anyway. Only Leicester have really benefitted from admin lately.
Aye Still, it's going to **** up their pre-season fingers crossed. Let's see em get rid of any talent they have left, and not able to sign anyone for a while.
Leeds have benefitted big time Their £35M debt largely goes away overnight and they start the next season on same points as everyone else. Penalty for getting £35M into debt? they drop from 22nd to 24th, whit-whew.
I don't know if the debt will just go away. Most of the debt is in loans, some from Bates. Can't see him voluntarily wiping out debts owing to him.
RE: I don't know if the debt will just go away. Most of the debt is in loans, You might be right, I don't understand how it works.
Lets face it...
Bates is bent. Leeds are scum. But fair play to em if they pull the 10 point deduction this season- they wouldn't be breaking any rules. Though don't be surprised if this results in a rule change.
Regardless, they are down. 10 points down next season or not, post admin they'll struggle big time next year. We know all too well how hard it is to attract good players to League 1, they won't all flock there because its Leeds.
Assuming they come out of admin soon, they will still be in a financial straight jacket and will have a very tight budget next season. We won't see them back for a while- look at Forest. They have had big crowds and no particular money worries of late, but they are not back yet.
Wise, Wise, whatever have you done?

All that happens is He repays the debts from the new company as "Consultancy" payments, or some other smoke screen name for the payment.
RE: Leeds have benefitted big time A Leeds fan at work doesn't know why they are doing it, said they had a £30m turnover last season and thinks that going into admin is a bad move
Hopefully... ...the FA investigation into the Oldham/QPR loan will mean QPR get docked 12 points and save the team who are currently third from bottom. Unlikely though.
What I don't get is how Bates can be part of the rescue package he has to put the club into administration but hey ho he's the white knight riding in to town to save them
