    'An incredible Football League merger could see Leeds United merge with South Yorkshire club Barnsley. A ground breaking merger of two high profile clubs could see Leeds United relegated to League 1 this season, elevated back to the Championship. The Tykes whos current home is Oakwell would merge with the Yorkshire giants to form Leeds St Peters. The multi million pound deal is said to be backed by foreign investestors and could be a Football League first. Barnsley whos support is relatively few are likely to welcome the move although undoubtably there will be opposition'.
