Good game up to now, Leeds playing well. However, just about every single person in the stadium is stood up. No announcements telling them to sit down either. Seems like some clubs live outside the rules.
Norwich haven’t laid a glove on Leeds. Leeds will start to tire though, so Norwich need to take the next chance, then it could get nervy.
Far too good for Norwich that first 45. Canaries try to sit deep but leeds have "played them" great sharp passing to get up the field and have them all over the place. I wanted us to play more like this in our games but obviously we didn't have the player's....we were just sooo slow in transition and lacked pace. Well done Leeds good watch.
Also singing a song that we got a warning about singing in 2018. On about a blokes **** been massive.
Whether we hate ‘em or not you’ve got to say that the crowd have been phenomenal since before the kick-off.
Bryan Gunn couldn't lace his dads boots. At fault for goals 1,2 and 4 for me. One of them beaten at his near post and one coming off his line then not bothering going for the ball.
I posted about the worst ever Barnsley performance and said it was when we laid down against Norwich and got relegated. Tonight I have seen a more spineless performance and it came from Norwich. I don't pretend to know everything about football but if from the 1st minute Norwich had lumped the ball into the Leeds box they would have stood a chance, the way they fannied about brought about their own downfall. I hope the respective managers of WBA and Southampton take note.
You hear the crowd singing along to their song all the way from start to finish. It must sound good, give the players a huge lift and it keeps up the atmosphere throughout. At Barnsley we tend to hear "Come on you reds" for a few seconds. Then nothing. Sheff U have their song, Weds have theirs, Liverpool theirs. Have we ever had something singable down the years to boost our morale?
