    Just reading this article. Disgusting if true. Given that over the years a minority of English fans have caused trouble but this is out of order and it makes you wonder how often it's happened in the past.

    Witnesses saying police smashing peoples glasses off tables and charging with batons for no reason. But the international media will no doubt just report it as bad press for English fans.

    Given the idiotic decision we took over Brexit it is little wonder that Police abroad will feel less inclined to put up with our loutish behaviour. If our fans abroad behave like reasonable human beings I'm sure from my own experience that the Spanish Police will accord them due respect and civility.

    We're either louts or we aren't.

    Brexit has nothing to do with it.

    Although the usual suspects with their own agendas try to import it into every possible scenario.

    To wit - the Bremoaners and the Scotnats.

    If only we'd been told before we voted that we'd get bashed in by the continental baton upon leaving Blighty, if we didn't vote remain.....

    Well those Leicester fans were louts and deserve every thing they get.

    I feel real sorry for the hundreds of decent football supporters that were there.

    As for Brexit / Remain. Who knows what the European news stories say about the UK. Possibly some not very nice things which the uneducated will take as a good reason to hate the brits. We have become the black sheep of Europe.

    So glad I'm a Scot. ;)

    Worrying now we are leaving and to be left at the "mercy" of this horrible government.
    SNP the party of Free Education, Free Prescriptions, Free Personal Health Care for the elderly.
    The party who will get rid of Trident from our waters.
    Vote SNP and get rid of all Tories and Red Tories.
    Its a no brainer really.

    Brexit has absolutely nothing to do with how much tolerance the police will show. I'm really surprised to read something like this from you. Our reputation as fans abroad is a significant factor and this has been the case since well before the EU referendum.

    Wouldn't get many of their fans into Mensa either the amount of clubs they have sang "champions of England you'll never be that" to this season. Latest being their last match against Everton who have been champions of England more times Leicester City could ever dream about.
