Leicester's New Manager Will Be Gary Megson

Megson, who twice achieved promotion to the Premier League with West Brom, will become Leicester's fifth manager since Craig Levein left in January 2006. </p>

Club owner Milan Mandaric said earlier this week he would interview four candidates for the post, but Megson is thought to be his preferred choice. </p>

Gerry Taggart, who played for the Foxes for six years until 2004, is expected to be Megson's assistant. </p>

City have been without a manager since Martin Allen was sacked on 1 September. </p>

Megson, meanwhile, has been out of work since his spell with Nottingham Forest ended after only a year in February 2006. </p>

The 49-year-old has previously managed Norwich, Blackpool, Stockport and Stoke before arriving at West Brom. </p>

Neil Warnock and Peter Reid were also linked with the Leicester post.
