Leon/Howard........

i honestly think leon has got what it takes to maybe be better than howard, but how brian howard can be slated i just cant believe, he's had a outstanding attitude since day 1, he's gave 110% in every match, helped us get promoted, single handadly kept us in this league last 2 years, sent us on a fantastic journey in cup last season, and yet he gets slated, he's bettering himself, he wants to play at highest level he can, who can blame him, he's not just come for 1 season pissed on us and fecked off, he's been here 3 half years. his performances this season have been poor, but in games ive seen he's gave his best. Get off his back oakwell legend in my eyes.

brian howard is one of them footballers that loves the game, like jimmy bullard, he isn't in it to make as much money as he can, he is in it to be as succesful as he can, surely bettering himself is going to a team that will be in promotion shake up rather than relegation shake up?

 

Leon's not in the same class, he's a decent passer that's about it. I'd have wished Howard all the best if he'd gone to Birmingham, Wolves or Reading...but not a Sheffield club, never.

They are both different types of player.

Leon is by fair the better technical player but we haven't really seen enough of him to say if he can put the ball in the net on a regular basis. If Leon is allowed to get forward more and can take a penalty he may well exceed Judas's goal tally.

I also disagree that Howard has been our best player for the last 3 years Devaney had a much better season in 2006-20007.

 

leon is more of a showboating kind of player

exciting to watch but nowhere near the complete player that howard is.

Is it technically better to stand there and watch opponents dance round you because you are **** scared to tackle for fear of injury.

Defending starts from the front can`t carry passengers on that one.

 

more strings to his bow so to speak. Leon seems to be exciting, flair but nothing else, ie no pace, tackling, none of the defensive abilities at all. Howard has a little bit of those as well so what he loses in flair you could argue he makes up for in that little bit of tackling.

 

I don't get this "always gave 100%" thing that people are coming out with.

Howard is a better player than Leon but I feel with De Silva in the middle it may help Leon's game a bit more. De Silva is rock steady and will be a vital member of the team now this year.
