Reading todays paper re Evertons imminent £3m purchase of Brian Howard and his 20k 3 yr deal with mixed feelings. I half believe it because of the timing of Leons arrival at Oakwell. Is he Howards direct replacement? If the paper is to be believed Everton are also a Spanish midfielder with 90odd international caps under his belt so along with Gravesen, Carsley, Arteta and the new spaniard amongst others where is Howard going to fit in? Bench? reserves? If true then £3m is a lot of money to turn down and good luck to Brian but if he goes there I fully expect him to disappear off the football radar for a while cos as good as he is he aint premiership quality.
