Leon just not good enough - no end product for all his running around..

Said it for months, don't think he is anything special, wouldn't get in my starting 11

 

I think he just blows hot and cold quite a lot...

...there have been periods during games when he's on fire but you don't see it often enough.

Our style of play probably doesn't help, we play quite wide and the central midfielders only really seem to be there to scrap for balls. That's why I think Hassell is quite effective in midfield. As a small 'flair' player, you're not gonna see Leon at his best while we are playing this way - but it works so why change it.

But I still think he has something to offer coming off the bench if we wanted to try and rescue something from a game - different option to going 4-2-4 ;-)

Leon has only had a handfull of good games like preston away last year when he scored that fantastic free kick, what a day that was!

 

You cannot fault his effort though.
He scraps for every single ball.
He did that today.
