not a grass in the slightest lets get that straight want to enquire of one thing,,,,can a professional football player go and just play amature football when he likes,,,fair enough it was for a good cause, but when i hear from a mates son whom was there and i heard he (lita) got clattered is a little concerning for me also when hes laughing about barnsley paying him 8 GRAND a week,,,,,i come from barnsley and support them for near on 40 years ,but moved to margate when young, lita lived down the road from us when he was much younger and a talent he was under the age of 10 used to come and play with us older lot in dane park (footy) and just knew then hed get somewhere,,,, im just hoping he gets his head down for my team and maybe drop the pretentious thing a little bit

Not a chance we are paying him 8k a week. And he should be getting the club's permission to play any other football. Maybe he did?

He can tell his little pals down Margate what he wants on his jolly boys outing, he's absolutely nowhere near £8k. Perhaps he doesn't want to lose boat race?

That's if all this is true.

£8k a week is £400k, we haven't had to pay a fee for him, so considering some of the reported fees for Winnall, Hourihane etc, it's not beyond the realms of possibility that Leroy's going to earn that from his year with us - not all salary ?

I'd be very surprised if the club sanctioned a player playing amateur football during the season, even if it was for a good cause. If he got clobbered and was out for the season the club would not be forgiven.

The club wouldn't sanction it. However, contracts contain all sorts of clauses. Professional players aren't allowed to do lots of stuff like go skiing or ride a motorbike or take part in other dangerous activities. If they do and get injured the contract can be torn up at no expense to the club. Players certainly aren't allowed to play football for other clubs. Had Lita got injured we would have lost our star signing, but it wouldn't have cost us owt.

I'm wondering when this football tournament took place. Apparently Lita was bragging about his wage at Barnsley, but he only signed for us last Saturday. When did he find the time to play football in Margate? He's played a game for Barnsley in the meantime, he must have been sorting out somewhere to stay, he's trained with us, given interviews to The Yorkshire Post, the official website and Radio Sheffield. It's been a busy week for him, but he also found time to go to his home town and play a bit of footy? Maybe this happened before last Setdi, when he was a free agent and free to do as he liked, and the bit about him bragging about his wage at Barnsley was just someone bullshitting.

Christ, he's out playing football! at a charity event, hang him!

Maybe he's trying to get fit and he enjoys playing football? he could have been out dogging and no-one would have cared.

Darren Barnard got injured slipping on cat p*ss, are we also going to ban footballers from having pets?
