    Pardew definately a better manager

really rate him and think West Ham were a bit quick to sack the man who got them within a swipe of Gerrard's foot of the fa cup. They will certainly have a better chance of survival with Pardew in charge but it seems to from the television pictures that the players have little passion or self belief, which is understanable from their results. But they are obviously not bad players as they are playing in the prem, I think Pardew is the one that can instill that belief.

another point is how many times have we seen a club stand by their manager only for him to leave a short while later (I say leave because Reed apparently left by mutual consent).

i rate pardew think he,s one of the best managers in the premier league,i think if it wasn,t for one or two players falling out with him he,d still be there!you can see his passion on the touchline,i think this is what barnsley have been lacking.

    from BBC articles list:

21 Dec : Charlton chairman backs boss Reed
24 Dec : Pardew replaces Reed at Charlton

reminds me of so many instances, including Barnsley denying the chance to get shut of AR to Wendys, thus making them pay us as his contract had not expired, then having to pay him when he was sacked.
