Leeds United, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

If our average gate is 11,000 this year, and a local derby brings a couple of thousand extra Barnsley fans out ... that is a very poor attendance for them. I wasn't there so I didn't see how full the away end was but I suspect well break 20,000 when Wednesday come.

    Personally I think that's poor

For such a "massive" club, so close to home. If Huddersfield we in this league I'd expect more than that.

Why would Leeds bring more to Oakwell if Huddersfield were in this league?! (chinny)

Won't moan as long as we're in ten thousand plus for normal matches. however, I do think there were more than that at the well and i suspect some number fiddling.

Don't think so - full Ponty and East 12k, Leeds 4k and about a thousand in the West.

I thought 17 to 17 1/2 before gate was announced.

Yeah it's easier to fudge now

When we had 70% season tickets and were a division lower and the away attendance was a few hundred it was difficult to judge.

Now it's a bit more like Smarties in the jar.

Bloke I know who is a Wednesday fan thought even though it was on TV the Leeds attendance was very poor. Their home attendance has been poor as well though - after the first few games.

The Away Stand holds 6,000. That means 2,800 empty seats. Didn't look like that from where I was sitting. I reckon we were using the "non-clicking turnstiles". Couldn't see the East Stand (cos I was in it) but I suspect there were nearer 19 thuo there today!

... that was the official figure. Looked more like 4- 4.5 k to me, but then again I thought East Stand was full (7k), Ponte was def full (4.5k), and must have been 2.5 - 3k in West . Still think LEeds turnout was poor - for a "big" club.

    (dunno)

    Leeds end looked pretty full

... and Ponty end was full. I didn't see any empty seats in East upper.
(Ponty end image was taken just after goal - out of focus because I used my phone, but it gives a good impression).

I suspect the official figure of just over 3600

was accurate. ie slightly less than 2/3rds full.

Maybe 2/300 white ***** incognito in the reds areas.

    Where do you sit

As both pics look to be taken in the half towards the end!

The away end was about 3/4 full
