Just thought I'd say that the clubs done well to ensure our best assets had more than 1 year on their contracts. I don't think its a coincidence that Steele, O'Grady, Craine and Jennings all have another 1 to 2 years remaining, they are arguably our best players, I don't doubt that without the extra year on their contracts we would have lost them for nothing.

Although I'm not frilled about loosing any of these 4 I am glad that for once we have our better players tied down and that we are in a position to demand a fee. Rewind 2 years and this scenario would have never happened.

On another note O'Grady imo is not worth 1m+, we paid 300k for him a year ago after he scored 6 in 16 for us, thats a goal ratio of 1 every 2.6 games, nobody else bid for him just us. He is now 1 year older and has scored 15 in 33, 1 every 2.2, 6 of those (?) were pens. If we can get double what we paid (600k) then I'd be laughing to the bank

O'Grady 21 goals in games for a terrible team. Impressive in anyone's books. Compare him to Proschwitz £2.6 million and who is better? I'd say anything less than £1 million would be a poor deal and we should be aiming higher.

Well said, although with him being well under contract i think you'd probably get a bit more than £600k.
