Teaching a Year 13 Biology class tomorrow afternoon. But I've covered all the exercise physiology that I'm supposed to. So what am I supposed to do with them????????????
Get em outside and give them a practical lesson. (battered) (battered) (battered) (battered) (battered) (battered)
Go to the Exam syllabus website and print off sufficient past exam papers and mark schemes. Give them the mark scheme (which shouldn't actually contain the questions only the guidance). Let them decide in groups what they think the questions will be for about 10 mins. let them revise for 20 mins. Last half hour, answer the past exam paper. Improves exam technique and also picking out what the examiner requires from the someimtes difficult worded questions.
LOL: game of footy, I like that Been thinking whilst making a play list for the t'old ipod. Called it 'The Bad Boy Limp' Gonna put em in pairs, give each pair a question to go and answer using the library. Then for the last 15mins they can present their work to the class. They can do my job, and I can sit on my bum dribbling, chatting and generally being obnoxious.
Dixons City Academy in Bradford. Its a high school with a 6th form. Except its one of these new fangled academies so they are loaded and have s**t hot resources. All the kids get laptops, interactive white boards in every room. They even have to pass an IQ test just to get in. Not like in my day
RE: Dixons City Academy Sorry, assumed you meant Barnsley College. The College's Sci Tech centre is pretty impressive. Has most of the things you mentioned. Does'nt have the IQ test thingy though! ff
