    has he actually said no.

If he has maybe it would be better he told the club rather than talksport.

Or are we not gonna get it official until every fecker in the country already knows

My take on this would be......

Terry Butcher appears to be one of the "old school" and if he were to reject the job, then he would do this, in the first instance to BFC and not TalkSport.

Also if he is in further discussions with BFC tomorrow (Weds) why would he make a decision tonight (Tues)?

TalkSport is nothing but idle chit-chat and banter.......dealing in FACTS is not the radio station's strong point.

To be fair i don't think the problem is going to be that fans are heartbroken, just bothered "they look daft again".

I think like many im pretty neutral about his appointment. Personally id have gone for Ince or Brown.

i'm indifferent about the individual. i'm more concerned about the damage it's doing us as a Club. to be turned down by two managers...unheard of and pretty embarrassing

I've really been talked in to the idea of him. He wouldn't have been one of my first choices but had he been mentioned then he would have been up there. I'm certainly not bothered about looking daft, I don't care if the "who have been turned down by..." list grows even more as long as we get the right man!

What I really cannot understand is why this is all done in the public domain?

Surely BFC & candidate shoudl do this in confidence, to protect both parties?

How would the candidate feel if he got an interview for the job and BFC rejected him........and then immediateley BFC made a public statement "Mr X has applied and having interviewed him for the job, we feel he is not the right man".

What I am trying to say is this should work both ways.......and at the minute it's working in favour of the candidate(s) ie. SO'D & Terry Butcher.

the 'barnsley fans' have been on a witch hunt against don rowing and demanding more communication. as the old saying goes - be careful what you wish for
