Can't say I totally agree with whats he's said - "I hope West Brom win". I can understand he wants to play in the final - but its not very sporting to Steele. Anyone else agree?

I thought that when i first read it

But I can see that what he would like to happen. I'm sure has a different opinion for the team perspective

If West Brom win and we win Davey will go out and get another keeper on an emergency loan.

Can he do that tho? I thought loan window had closed. Or are emergency loans different?

He will never play for us again anyway ................

............. would be a loan keeper for the final and would think Letheran will be looking for another club this summer, hardly been given a vote of confidence by Davey has he? never on the bench and loan keepers from the minute Muller got injured

Where and when did he make them

Did you see it or was it "reported"

Is it implausible that a young reserve keeper could make a joke in passing that he would like the opportunity to play in the FA cup final.

However I did think that the accademy gave our players "Media" lessons on how to deal with the press, so however he said it he should have known it would be reported in the worst possible light.

Any different to Steele wanting to avoid them when the draw was made?

I'm in 2 minds about this anyway.

If we reach the final and play Pompey, then great because Steele can play. But we'd have to fancy our chances against West Brom more even allowing for not having Steele.

    I agree

Who does he think he is saying who he hopes wins a game in which Barnsley aren't involved, and actually wanting the chance to play in a cup final!
Shame on you Kyle, stay in the reserves and be content with it!

All we ever get though are the quotes from the players, often we don't get the question that was in response to!

    Smacks of Hristov.......

Don't believe everything you read in the papers - or even things on the official website as lifted from a paper doing everything it can to bring some local interest to a national story.

I just don't think its very sporting to Steele. Doubt Letheren will even play in the final if West Brom did win.

Wait a minute - you missed the key part out

He will be sat on the bench on Sunday?!

Really? Is Davey actually going to have a keeper on the bench?

If the management team think he's *****

and not up to playing in the first team (hence bringing in loan keepers) - why is he even in the first team squad?

    Nothing Against What He Said

He wants to play in the FA Cup final. I didn't see anyone moan when Steele said he wants WBA to lose. Anyway it was probably said in jest. Words written down can sometimes come off wrongly. This is probably one case of that.
