we aint going to win even if we had Buffon in the nets on saturday, why not just give the young lad a day art? absolutly stupid in my opinion.
Davey sees him week in week out. O'Hanlon is an ex-international keeper [Eire?]. I'm sure if both of them think Letheren isn't ready for this, then we have to go with their judgement.
But a guy they haven't seen much at all is??? Its a puzzler to me.
Is Steele gonna be playing instead of Warner in the league games?

It was a gamble like all signings. didnt pay off. but when you sign 14, not everyone is going to be a world beater. Judgement: Muller or Colgan? Clearly Davey knows a keeper when he sees one, Letheren has played one game. Steele has played almost 40.
There's a difference. Mostto was seen on video and then Davey went to look at him. He saw him in maybe 2 or 3 games and relied on his judgement over those games. On this occasion he was wrong. It happens. He has seen Letheren every day [more or less], for over a year. His assistant, a former international keeper has as well. They don't think he's ready.
That's fair enough But why did they release Colgan and not bring in another keeper permanently if they knew Letheren wasn't up to it?
Because Colgan is a... Mawngy *******who refused to play for us.
He should have been replaced with reasonable standard keeper much earlier mind you.

RE: That's fair enough From what I heard, Davey told Colgan he could leave at the end of last season. Nick organised himself a move, but when the deal for Muller took longer than anticipated, he was told he would have to stay. When Heinz was injured, I presume it was too late to make him stay, as the deal with Ipswich, and Nick's pay-off were agreed and signed. I understand keeper's can always be signed as an emergency loan, so I presume we are going to cite that if anything happens.
