    The scrubbed up Town Hall and the new college look impressive on the landscape, hopefully the new market development will be started next year with the cinema complex, before long you won't be able to get a coffee in the town centre in a "proper" mug.

    Barnsley often smells like fresh clean linen on a beautiful spring day..

    Kate Rusby, Rob Royd's farm shop, the view from my bedroom window, countryside on your doorstop wherever you live, you can actually drive about the place without constantly being in a traffic jam like you get in all cities, when you hear someone speak intelligently and articulately in the Barnsley accent it's the best accent in the world, Cawthorne Park, Mick McCarthy, Barnsley football club.

    Rob Royd farm shop has opened a cafe during the daytime which doubles up as a restaurant on Saturday nights. We been to the cafe and the Sat night meal. It was very nice !

    What was the menu like? My wife is a vegetarian, did they have a vegetarian option? Do they serve alcohol.

    It doesn't have four Ladbrokes in the centre like Huddersfield soon will, thus turning into a betting version of Tesco Express for popping up everywhere.
