We were pretty lucky to go up last season. Before the season started I thought we'd struggle but hoped we'd do better. Up until the Preston game I was pleasantly surprised and we were in a dencent position in the league. We put up a decent fight with 10 men against a team that might get promoted, but had some bad luck! Wednesday we had another sending off and fell to a late goal. If we'd played the game with 11 men and we'd beaten them and if we had then we'd have been mid-table again. It looks like that was the start of a bad run for the team. We need to pick ourselves up and the team needs us behind them. Most of us thought it would be a stuggle this season, so it shouldn't be a surprise we are at the wrong end of the table.
Many I speak to, say the same Zuckster We are lucky we are in this League. Some would argue that we are here in this Division on merit but Lord we were dreadful at times last season and so naive. The above points could be carried forward to this season. We are now in the Relegation zone and in danger of being isolated in the bottom 3. Who is going to come to our rescue? Shepherd? Cryne? Please make changes and take all steps necessary to ensure we stay in this League Having said all that I won't hold my breath,
Thing is... A vociferous crowd and constant "we believe in you" chants can only do so much if the team don't believe in themselves. Losing becomes a habit, and conceding late in the game already is. It needs new blood within the team to break this psychological hoodoo.
Agree entirely, but then again Oakwell was largely silent again today! Painfully obvious. Outsang once again by the Visitors, Can't help the players.
RE: Agree entirely, but then again Oakwell was largely silent again today! Barnsley WILL survive this season, two or three quality additions to the squad will see us safe...just!.Remember it's a marathon not a sprint. When we beat weeds on saturday, the feel good factor will return.YOOOO REDS!!
