Great free kick. But if you really think about it he is always offside, he doesnt run into space. What does he do. He strikes me as being quite arrogant, thinking he is better than everyone else and he doesnt have to do much. I was fuming at him on Saturday. Till he scored. He was rubbish. One flash of greatness. However he had a poor game.
Mate bumped into him on Sat after match at Burger King. Nads said he had been a 'bit ill' in the week, also mate said he's a really top lad off the pitch although I agree with you about the on pitch persona.

he is frustrating and comes across a bit lazy sometimes - which is why i suppose he hasn't been started by the last few managers. but he scored the winner to get us to cardiff and then equaliser to take it into pens. you can't argue with that
WTF..... Hes not going to run around like Hayes et al - but hes a striker that when he gets a chance he generally hits the target. Thats what he is paid to do..... I have no favourites at the club, but you tell me how many glaring misses Nads has doen compaired to the rest of the strikers..... Scored against Wrexham when poor. Scored against Hudds when poor. Scored against Swansea when poor. Contributed to getting this club up....If he's lazy and scoring then that works for me !!
well, lets be even more honest. He did more than richards on Sat. He's there for one thing, to score. After the goal at huddersfield and on Sat, we still find someone who is intend on having a pop. FFS
Cant argue with the Walsall, Hudders, and Swansea goals but.. But he annoys the f*%k out of me. Always offside. If he tried just a bit harder he would be a v good player. Wont do much next season. Im saying it now.
Nah Im giving my opinion. You may think that because its different to youres. Im just worried about next season thats all. Happy to be there, but worried. I want us to give it a real go to stay up. I dont think alot of ours players are good enough. He is one of them. Its ok saying we are great now coz we are up, but come xmas if we are bottoms there will be lots of moans on here.
Nads scored against walsall when needed scored the winner against Huddersfield and equalised at cardiff, Nads scores goals so who cares if he is a bit lazy or offside?

RE: Cant argue with the Walsall, Hudders, and Swansea goals but.. But he's NOT always Offside is he? Just a common misconception. I wondered how long it would take. If Marc Richards had scored that equaliser all his inadequacies would be forgotten for the entire summer. But Danny? No way. Let's just give all the players a break and our full backing next season
RE: Cant argue with the Walsall, Hudders, and Swansea goals but.. Balls to that, let's slate the only natural goalscorer on the books. Ruin his confidence, make him want to leave. That's the tarn way !!!
I dont think he is lazy just because he doesn't run around like a headless chicken. He knows a lost cause when he sees one and doesn't waste his energy on them. At Cardiff he was doing a lot of stretching when the ball was out of play.It made me wonder if the has a long term flexibility problem?
I bet Nads is no worse at being caught offside than any other striker in the division. Has Paul d got any stats on that? Strikers who don't get caught offside won't score goals. I think it's as simple has that. He gets caught offside because he gambles in areas of the field where teams need to do that. If Ritchie gives him a decent run in the side next season I tip Nads to hit 25 goals. The Championship with it's higher skill levels will be better for his game than League One. A word now about Andy Ritchie. I was very impressed with the way he managed the team from Walsall to the Millenium, when the going got tough, he certainly got the team going. He showed a side to his managemant skills I didn't think he had and I am sure he can build on the experience. How about extending his contract Mr Shepard before someone comes in for him?

RE: Cant argue with the Walsall, Hudders, and Swansea goals but.. dont agree ****,will score loads of goals next season, lets see whos right!
been told before that Nads is always late for training and drinks alot by a someone who knows a member of the coaching staff dont no whether theres any truth in it.
Best mates with Shuker - Shuker tee-total - travels into work with Shuker = That statement is a load of balls.
Every team needs a player like Nardiello. He's not there to be a workhorse (although I think we need someone to fill that role next season) he's there to score goals. IMO our squad is better suited to championship football and with the correct additions we will do O.K next season.
Do you think Ian Rush covered every blade of grass too in his hayday ? We have to play to Nads strengths, not hoof balls up to him like we do with Conlon, Richards etc....we need to be beating men on the bye line more and getting balls in to the 6 to 10 yd area for headers, tap ins etc....if we don't Nads will be largely ineffectual as he was this season. If your happy with Donkeys like Conlon, Richards et al running all day and drawing blanks so be it but it's not the type of player for me.....now another David Currie would be even better....circa 1987!
mmm...some interesting points. Personally I think he's one of our great hopes for the new season. Ritchie's not going to have a lot of time to work out which players can hack it in a higher division, and it's not always the ones who you think will do well. I remember going into the premiership and before the season started their was a general feeling that the workhorse/journeyman - Redfearn - had to be replaced. Well...he was an absolute star in the higher league. Some players are just capable of raising their game. For me the ones who'll do it next season are Nards, Hayes,Heckie, Howard and Mcphail (though more encouraging noises about staying here would be helpful). The ones who've got about 4 months to prove they are worthy would I think be; Shuks, Kaye, Reid, Colgan, Hassel and Richards. None of the others are more than squad players so AR needs to bring some new talent to the club.
