... we were never going to beat them, we never do. Yes, it's upsetting the manner of the defeat, and the timing, and that we deserved at least a draw, but let's get it out of our systems now and move on. There were plenty of positives yesterday to take into the next match. We can and will stay up. We can do this. COME ON.
bit of common sense spoke here. everyone wants to forget yesterday,its only another defeat ffs,not like we havnt had many to contend with this season. a few want to man up a bit,tek it on the chin,and get ready for the rest of the season.
If I could bottle up and recreate how I've felt over the last 24 hours, I'd give a dose to every present and future Barnsley player, and we would never lose at Hillsborough again. They have had 30 years of out and out Jammy results at our expense. It's totally gutting. Im not remotely vindictive, and I love a bit of football banter, but one thing is for sure. The day we beat them, their fans are getting flack by the friggin' sack load. I will be all over them taking the p:$$ so badly they'll wish I'd go away.
Not be long before our next victory against them. We did the double over them not long ago. But for a poor team they are tough for us to beat purely because of the fact that our matches are treated as their cup finals. They run their blood to water against us.. Plus they always have the referees looking after them.
to be honest fired I can see where you are coming from. this banter thing with many(not all) of the Wednesday lot is way, way beyond banter..reading owlstalk is enough to make you sick..going on about shagging sisters,fingering mothers,you name it , its on there,thats not banter I don't care what they say. town full of scrubbers,fcukin scruffy dingles etc,its laughable that half their supporters are from here. theres one on porktalk called council owl,i'd love to meet the tw@t.reckons he was out last night with Barnsley supporters who were bragging about cracking 12 year olds and that we are all scum,i heard that he's from kendray? I remember years gone by when we worked at the pit,it was all a bit of a laugh,mates supported different teams,but there was none of this ***** that gets said nowadays.mind you face to face and sat behind a keyboard are two different worlds.
There's banter and there's insults ,two different things just as critism of a players performance and personal abuse. I work with a load of wendys and no doubt they'll be in early in morning waiting for me, I,ll have **** all day and most f week but tbh used to it now, had same at pit years ago but had some support then, weren't just me. The idiots who go on twitter and give dogs abuse need to step back and look at themselves because if they knew what normal people thought of them they'd die of embarrasment. Been to hilsbrough with lads on birthday dooes etc with both Wendy's and reds and oakwell with same crowd and had some good banter and laughs ,never ad and inkling to fight or rip seats out choose how much beer I've had or how bad a result. Most people have got a presumption of these people and tbh they're right
