Lets be positive about both Watkins and Mansford coming into the club.

Changes was needed or we wouldn't have had a chance of improving any league position in the near future.

Whether we are ran like a business or a football club, something needed sorting out because its been getting closer and closer every season dropping into League 1 and we all know the financial ramifications for that.

Lets not get on their back straight away like we have done with previous managers and owners, whether they've proved us right or wrong and start supporting a club we know how to love.

That Huddersfield game, Hull at home, Blackpool at Bloomfield Road, Middlesbrough away, MK Dons in the FA Cup, Forest away, Palace away and Leeds at home just into New Year have all been special since January the 1st and with this new partnership at board level, I can't help think we are going to do nothing else but improve as a side and a club.

Totally agree. Look like two great appointments and at last Patrick has awakened and recognised that major change can only be driven from the top. Very optimistic and with flicker in charge we could see some real change at the real theatre of dreams. It just needs the missing 6000 to start turning up. I for one will be assuming missionary position with every football fan I know.
As Chairman Mo says "barnsley means business! "

I'm really excited about both appointemts. Both have solid business, football and sporting pedigrees.

My only concern is that we need someone to come in who can invest. It doesn't have to be silly Middel Eastern or Russian money, but to help move away from the bottom of the Championship "poor" ladder.

Aside from the summer of '97 I can't remember any summer being more positive.
