lets not give him the job, we need someone to come in whos good in transfer market, a bit more experineced and all that long ball stuff yesterday is not the answer to staying in this division, rather hav redders and winnie and dont particuly think they are the right choice.
whats redders ever done in football management that is any good? he would really be the wrong appointment. Get him back as a coach maybe but not manager dont think winstanley is the right man either again as a coach or maybe even assistant.
RE: Lets get behind Davey but.....................lets appoint DOWIE We need someone who knows the ropes........Davey dosen't And neither does Shep So it is vital that the next manger has the following skills; 1) motivate the first team 2) knows the Championship league and has a good track record in this league 3) able to develop young players 4) knows people in football and knows how the football business operates 5) must still (even after large compensation payments) have the hunger to succeed Shep has got the most important decision to make in the next week or so If he makes the wrong one we could easily be in the 1st Division next season Bit of advice from Young Nudger - go with experience - got to be Dowie or someone similar
Why does Shep reportedly want Davey...........??? Is it because Shep knows he can meddle in the mangement of the first team if he appoints Davey ??? For example, telling Davey to bring Redders in as coach and picking players that he would like to see at the club We need a very strong manager at the WELL.........right NOW Dowie is the man Let Shep get back to what he does best - sorting the financial problems out of the club
It's very difficult to appoint any manager with experience Who hasn't had some kind of downturn in his career . In fact , it could be argued that , the darker days in a manager's career can help him , we all learn from our mistakes in life . Dowie produced an impressive footballing team , against all the odds , at Oldham Athletic . This lead to his appointment at Crystal Palace , who he took from a relegation place ( around the same time of year we're at now ) to promotion , via the play offs , in 2004 . I can't think of anyone else , off the top of my head , who has done anything remotely similar . Whoever the chairman appoints , it won't be met with universal approval amongst the fans .
dunno he had to make someone caretaker manager so he was the obvious one. i'd be surprised if Davey got it full time not convinced GS wants to pick the team and i've not heard the redders rumour
