http://news.sky.com/skynews/article/0,,30100-1282611,00.html and he gets locked up and gang raped by five 20 stone brutes until his chocolate star rips. (and thats being kind)
I'm not usually one for agreeing whole heartedly with someone but I couldn't have put it better myself. He faces a jail sentence 'unless he attends rehab' The guy is a menace, lock him up and throw away the key!
done nowt wrong to you ! leave him alone , be pretty piss poor if all rock stars were like dido ffs.......
If Rock Stars......... were like Dido, at least they would be attractive He should be locked up for a lot of years to be made an example of. He's skipped sentencing too many times already and his music is garbage.
agreed 100% pompey lets face it, he hasnt hurt anyone bar himself which he his entitled to do as long as it is only himself that is hurt, the music scene needs a bit of sex, drugs, rock n roll, always as and always will, thats how rock stars/bands should behave and i condone it wholeheartedly, never did the Beatles and the Stones any harm just enhanced there reputation, not enough of them about these days in the age of Dido,James Blunt etc etc yawn yawn
Other than those who are forced to work in the drugs trade. Maybe Doherty should go and work in South America or Afghanistan for a bit.

Seconded.. Not a fan but there are very few of the top name rock stars whose only drug of choice is caffeine or Vimto and it would be a much culturally poorer world without them. Why all the vitriol seems to be saved for Doherty puzzles me, his "crimes" are quite petty, it's not as if he was caught with enough for him to be considered a dealer and as for driving without insurance (like he couldn't personally afford to underwrite any damage he may have caused) or MOT (quick, hang him now) then why the big deal?
I wonder how many self righteous BBSers have done the same or worse?
And as for Dreamboys assessment of Doherty's music can I just point out that DB3K was extolling the virtues of Simply Red's Greatest Hitsa few weeks back...

RE: He's not long for this world, leave the tw@t alone. nt i tend to think he has a bit of the sid vicious, janis joplin, jim morrison, hendrix, curbain set the controls for self destruct before 28 about him,its what keeps the world of rock n roll turning, bring it on
Just cos he's "loaded" does not give him the excuse not to be law abiding and have MOT or Insurance. and that includes possessing class A drugs too... any "normal" averge joe would have been thrown in Jail, or given massive community orders but as always, just cos he's famous, and has money, the authorities are more lenient.... One rule for one etc Feckin stinks /poo
RE: Just cos he's "loaded" does not give him the excuse not to be law abiding and have MOT or Insura And just because he's famous it doesn't mean that the law should drop twice as hard on him and does not excuse your encouragement of rape.

RE: If Rock Stars......... Dreamboy, how can you say his music is garbage when one of you favourite films is High School Musical?
RE: Just cos he's "loaded" does not give him the excuse not to be law abiding and have MOT or Insura in the same way that just because he's loaded does not give the excuse for you to encourage no MOT or insurance cos he can probably underwite it himself, nor use and possess highly illegal and addictive drugs, just cos he's a rock star...
RE: If Rock Stars......... It' isn't one of my favourite films, but it is good. Anyone see Vanessa Hudgens in the Daily Mirror yesterday at the premiere (Y) (Y) (Y)
RE: Just cos he's "loaded" does not give him the excuse not to be law abiding and have MOT or Insura
And where did I say it was right? I merely pointed out that his crimes were not the most henious I've ever heard of and that I didn't think that it warranted an extremely long prison sentence and gang rape. The acts he commited were crimes and I'm sure he will face punishment, I doubt that it will be as severe as you want it to be however. Sense of proportion please.

agree father benny cake no one here is saying he was right, what we are saying though is that is how we want our rock stars/bands to behave and credit it to them for carrying on the tradition,no doubt nezbfc would bring back hanging just for Doherty if he could,he will get his punishment and rightly so but it wont stop him behaving the way it does and that is also rightly so
He's got himself another month of freedom at least http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/6977736.stm
RE: Just cos he's "loaded" does not give him the excuse not to be law abiding and have MOT or Insura "Not a fan but there are very few of the top name rock stars whose only drug of choice is caffeine or Vimto and it would be a much culturally poorer world without them. " Ok, I maybe have misread that bit, I read it as being a cultural poorer world without the drugged up ones.... i'll drop that bit... "Why all the vitriol seems to be saved for Doherty puzzles me, his "crimes" are quite petty, it's not as if he was caught with enough for him to be considered a dealer and as for driving without insurance (like he couldn't personally afford to underwrite any damage he may have caused) or MOT (quick, hang him now) then why the big deal?" This does give the impression due to the "why the big deal" bit... I didn't say anything about the length of sentence anywhere either, just also pointing out, that whilst you consider his crimes petty, crimes are crimes, of which some of what he has (more than once it has to be said) warrent a period behind bars where some people have been given detention for the same... my "gang rape" comment, was yes, because I dont like the **** (wether it was a comment warrented or not is your choice, and anyone else's for that matter), but that was my choice
