austin = right footed RIGHT back playing at LEFT back
tonge = right MIDFIELDER playing at right BACK
reid/kay = two MIDFIELDERS playing at centre BACK
carbon = 1 good game in ever 10 appearences and then 20 out injured. no consistency

How can ritchie justify that and turn taggart down?

Reid is a centre back by trade

it was phart who insisted on playing hmi out of position. Kay can play in both positions and is not a centre midfielder.

No, I couldn't believe it either, but he did say Conlon, Mad Tom and maybe someone else could leave if they found a club. Colgan was noticeable by his lack of mention, so don't get your hopes up.

New goalkeeper - keep Flinders for bench for cover. Flinders isn't quite ready yet. Let Colgan go.

How about we need 2 players for right side of midfield and get rid of Shuker?

First of all I did not see yesterdays game so am basing my points on others match reports and the one on the Official site and previous games. Surely the position which needs strengthening before any others is down the left! Read the reports - all of yesterdays problems came down our left! Ok we have Howard to come in allowing Williams to switch to left back but that still leaves us with no cover! Austin is not a left back! McPhail has shown he is no good on left side of midfield! We need two new Left side players.

Flinders in goal as Colgan is piss poor. Huge mistake by ritchie starting with him in nets.

Carbon to go for same reason as above. Makes too many mistakes. Possibly sell vaughan and replace with young cemtre back with potential or just someone who is erm better. So thats 2 out 3 in.

Although McPhail is a talented footballer I just don't see him as the player we need. We need a strong battler in midfield to drive the team forward and who will also chip in with 10 goals at least. McPhail won't do this. There will be too many games in this league where McPhail gets bypassed because he is not strong enough. Nardiello needs to improve but has the talent to be a good player. Forgot about Kell, when he gets fit he can challenge burns.

I think if the centre of defence improves then we have an outside chance this season but if we finish top 10 then the season will have gone well.

 

Midfield

Oh come on, hes still only young and will improve, we'll struggle to find a right hand sided midfield player that will be better than Shuker. Get off his back mate/people.

Theres nothing wrong with our midfield, we've just had some bad luck with the 2 new signings soon to feature. Scunny fans have said Kells a real quolity player, and the same has been said about Howard.

Shuker - McPhail - Kell - Howard = Good enough for me

With Burns, Kay and Williams as cover. Looks good. I just really hope Ritchie trys to bring in at least 1 centre half now.
