What a load of ********. I'm not on the 'Wilson sacked' brigade yet but come on, it's no one else's fault...Jesus
with all the moving parts & permutations involved in winning & losing football matches - you genuinely believe one person is solely to blame? do you really believe that?
I'm not on the sack Wilson brigade yet... but I am starting to question his tactics and team selections... Danny is having a mare!
Re: so the players are totally blameless There were more factors than losing games with hill though. Saying we had no history was one
Football is a simple game so how can we **** it up so badly week aftrer week... possession is one thing, but we need to play with a purpose and all we are proving at the minute is that we cannot defend and lack quality in attack... The team look completely disjointed and out of confience
******** You're all in denial and you know it deep down. He's the manager to be the only person for the blame and he knew it before he took over as was the same situation when he took over at Wednesday, Bristol City and Sheff United. Don't act stupid lads
To be fair, Danny is playing the Hill way... possession football... he need to start playing the Robins way, simple, disciplined, counter attacking football... Its certainly working at Scunny...
Re: so the players are totally blameless I dnt blame him entirely but he picks the team formation ect and he has got one hell of a task to turn it round because if not improved in next few games we have to get rid we cant let him take us down
It's the boards fault Not the getting Danny back but the fact they said they expect us to finish top 6 I was never convinced in that, in my opinion they should have said expect bottom half to mid table because most of the team are young and inexperienced at professional football We have done same as last season and put too much pressure on everyone
Its not ******, why should the manager be blamed for everything. My manager wouldn't get sacked if I couldn't concentrate.
A manager in football comes into the job knowing that if all fails, he'll get the blame. Unfortunately, your manager at work is in a different ball game to professional football
Danny can be held responsible for some things but the players have to take responsibility for other things, they are supposed to be professional footballers yet they can't play simple passes, they can't mark their man, they miss sitters, they can't concentrate. Danny is not responsible for these fundamental flaws in our players games.
Danny can only do certain amount of things from the sidelines of which I agree but what makes players from doing this ***** to not doing this *****? This first thing is bringing the right players in. We've got some technically gifted players and no one can deny that. We've scored some great goals this season from all areas and Wilson has also got to take credit for that in a way. But the fundamental floors? The type of football we play as well as the formation we set up with is up to Wilson and it's up to him to get the respect off the players to play for him. I understand footballers should play for whoever, like we do in whatever jobs we have but football isn't like that and we've got to realise that if we want to support a professional football club, whether we like it or not.
So the fact that treacy is running around like an overweight Christmas fairy,unable/unwilling to trap a bag of sand or pass to a colleague in same colour shirt as his two yards away is all Danny's fault. Even though we're all aware of just what he is capable of when he decides to try and that's what he promised to do till the ink had dried on his untouchable contract. NAH sorry
Errrrrr..yes he is i'm afraid. Cos he's assembled them. He's bought/loaned em from a large pool of prospectives, cos he thinks they can play. He's supposed to motivate them, organise them. He's the manager. What is the point of him being there if he can't pick and organise them to do the right things?
i get that. isn't it an obvious response though, to say that danny signed these players? doesn't that ultimately make him accountable, for bringing in players not up to the job? or not getting the best out of them if they are? keith hill got hammered, for bringing in lower league players not good enough for the champ. some of these players aren't even performing against non-league level. my own view is that lots of things are wrong. but for me, danny has to take the hit as much as anyone. i'm not interested in his history with us, or anyone else, or any of his 1000 games as a manager. i'm judging him on his stats with us since he joined. and they're not good viewing
