    We lost today cos they are a better side than us and so they shud be they are in the prem, for god sake. This was only a warm up game for the big one against cariff! Lets get behind the lads, yoo reds!!!

    who's down hearted

    Boro are a craking side with sonme great youngens,thought we played well and the new signings look good,Wroe and Williams looked lively when they came on hopefully they will step up a gear this season.

    hardly likely to beat the UEFA cup finalists were we

    I just fear that lesser sides will expose our defensive frailties this year. I mean, we haven't gone through a match without conceding a goal yet.

    Everyone goes on about getting a striker, but for me we need to learn how to concede 0's and 1's in a game, and I see some gaping defensive holes acoming this year...

    Sorry to disagree on defence

    We will be fine in defence, dont worry about that. The glaring need is for someone to put the ball in the net a little more often. With McIndoes obvious desire to get on the score sheet, with an out and out striker in the side we will be OK. Have faith.

    Ah but that was with the same defence

    The one that this time last year many were saying wasnt good enough epecially the keeper and we need centre halves and full backs.</p>
