Whilst I think Leeds & Southend may have left themselves too much to do, there are still 11 games left & alot can happen in that time. Defeat Vs Norwich could see all the negativity return, and before we know it we'll be facing teams like Birmingham & WBA searching for miracles.
Just think it's a bit early to be laughing at Leeds when we could be heading down too. We need to get behind the lads non stop, and realise that whilst the last 2 results have been good, they were against teams who on the night were awful. We won't have that every time.

    Come on you Reds!

    Agreed.

I have a feeling we'll only need another 9 or 10 points due to the congestion at the bottom, but I can't see where they are going to come from!!

    Norwich (H), Sunderland (H), Plymouth (A), Coventry (A), Derby (H), Ipswich (A), Birmingham (H), Southend (A), Crystal Palace (H), Leicester (H), West Brom (A).

Here's hoping that Leicester and Crystal Palace will have nothing to play for and we can get something out of Norwich, Southend and Ipswich/Coventry.

    True

We just need to play 4 more awful teams out of 11 and get similar results then we can start to relax

Hopefully Narwich havent gained too much confidence from tonight

We still have Southend Ipswich Leicester, Coventry and Plymouth to play - need to win at least 3 of those matches and scrape a couple of points from the proper teams to scramble to safety - we are still in dire danger - just not as dire as 2 matches ago

I for one wont be able to take any pleasure in Leeds going down if we are keeping them company. Of course if we are safe ...:)

I'll take every pleasure in the world if Leeds go down

    Saturday is important

I agree we've some difficult games to come. A win against Norwich would move us closer to safety and psychologically moving past 40 pts would be a big boost. Get behind 'em!

Southend (A), Crystal Palace (H), Leicester (H), will be where it's decided. Squeaky bum time as Sir alex once said.

Well I reckon they need at least 17 points from 11 games

to have any chance of staying up which is over 1.5 points per game - or playoff form - Leeds and Southend need an escape of Portsmouth proportions last season so you could probably start polishing them size 11's

I am just still very worried about that 3rd spot and we are definitely well in contention for it and if we do fall through the trap door I will be too depressed to celebrate Leeds demise. If we stay up then double celebrations of course

    "last two teams were awful"....

thought that maybe it was us that made them look awful???

Stoke weren't awful...they had a hell of a lot of possesion but just couldnt break us down as we were solid in midfield and defence

im increasingly optimisitic we will be safe

    Just looked at run-ins

southend and Leeds have possibly easiest looking schedule

Luton qpr and hull have more difficult games

We have quite a tricky run of games

    lots of 6 pointers though

RE: "last two teams were awful"....

    Don't agree with that comment.....

Against Hull, we restricted them to play the ball backwards for a large part of the game. This pressure resulted in them making a couple of errors and Barnsley took advantage of that.

Against Stoke we set our game up from the very first second. Stoke kick off and we close them down and create a chance after 20 seconds. Rest of the game they hardly had 2 seconds on the ball. Again one chance and we took it. Stoke tried everything to create a chance but they couldn't break us down.

How many times this season can we say that the players have given the fight and commitment needed to keep us in this league?? How many times this season can we say we have taken our chances offered. Against Stoke, 2 chances = 1 goal. Against Hull, about 6 chances = 3 goals.

If we play with the fight and commitment from the last two games, we will get quite a few shcok results.

After the last two games I can't see us losing many. Prob going to have a fair few draws BUT I think we will do it. The confidence in the Leeds squad went weeks ago!

perhaps, but it woul still be a mammoth task pulling back the 7 points we have on them, before trying to match us point for point. I think if Leeds don't beat washday on satday they are as good as down

You can't see where they're coming from?

We might as well pack it in if we can't getpoints from this lot.

    Norwich (H), Sunderland (H), Coventry (A), Derby (H), Ipswich (A), Southend (A), Crystal Palace (H), Leicester (H)

I've only taken 3 games off [Plymouth (A), Birmingham (H),West Brom (A)] where we might struggle to get at least a point.

And even withWest Brom they might already be up by the last weekend and have a promotion hangover.

And remember we only have to be better than 3 teams. 2 of them are currently 7 points behind having played the same games.
