Barnsley concede less goals with him out of the team, If he is so good why is this?
Foster and Souza are the best pairing, when all players are fit, so do we need to keep him after January or should we bring in a different loanee?

Nyatanga was on after 5 minutes.

I've been trying to make that point for months, with regard to Nyatanga but almost everyone on here seems to think he is a god.
He is inexperienced, he's slow, he only has to be beaten once because he doesn't try to recover, except at a slow jog. He seems to expect someone else to bail him out when he gets beaten.
In 10 years time he may be a decent player but that won't do us any good. If Simon Davey wants to encourage youth, then he should be encouraging our own, not someone else's.

he was good for us at the end of last season when we had no-one. Now we have Souza and Foster he's ok for back up, and to keep Reid further out

At the end of last season, when he played, the average goals against went from 1.75 per game to 2.16 per game.
Goals against this season, in games that he has played are at a similar level.

You are correct in that goal ratio.

Every week on here people were raving about him, but we conceded more goals with him in the side than without him.
I dont think it was a coincidence that the first clean sheet this season was without him in the side.

He looks a sloppy player to me,but what do I know eh?

    Good question

I thought he was responsible for Saints first goal, could have just belted it out for a throw in. Having said that he was excellent in the 2 recent Wales matches.

RE: Even with that fact to hand ,

Depends how well the others are playing at the time I suppose. If somebody has a couple of bad games then somebody else should get a chance.

    Not at present no

but the reason we've made a good start seems to be down to the squad we have rather than the first XI, so suggesting we let Lewin go just coz he isn't an automated first choice in defence is madness really.

On the other hand Nyatanga has played in the last two games and we've taken 4 points away from home

    brotyke.........

it seems you wouldn't mind if Lewin Nyatanga didn't stay beyond the end of the year. I agree with you because he's not started this season as well as he finished last season and I would rather give guys like Atkinson and Potter more of a chance.

That's pretty debatable to be fair. Lewin hasn't done much so far as he? Derby didn't think he was upto it yet and sent him to Sunderland and then Keano didn't want him and sent him back and we got him, then our goals conceeded ratio went up and our clean sheet came with him out of the team. This season we have had a couple of clean sheets without Lewin. I'm not saying he's a bad player, but he isn't God.

i would definitly rather keep lewin for as long as possible. Have to admit im surprised to c we have conceded more goals with him in team but still think he is a very good player
