    Is Liam Kelly that good, some talk about him like he is the answer to all our problems?

    Ive only seen him a couple of times and he was bang average.

    The worry is with high expectations if he did sign, he will need to hit ground running and put in MOTM performances or will be written off.

    But saying that if he did sign LJ would talk him up but probably wouldn't play him anyway. Like Smith, Crowley, Wilkinson and Jackson.

    No doubt you said same about Chris Wood... Then he went Leicester and ended up as leagues top scorer.

    I haven't rated connor when he has come on late in games... But goal on his debut and high praise for NI u21, perhaps we just dont know how to get best out of these lads. Add Digby and Crowley to that. We also appear to be trying to stunt development of Bree and Roberts...

    From what I have seen of Connor I haven't been impressed at all. Even when he come on as sub he hardly put his self out to impress everton and Altrincham games spring to mind. The bloke is 6ft+ when a balls in the air he is 5ft. Glad to see him gone we would have been better keeping jabo ibere than getting Connor on loan.
    I do agree with you on bree though should be playing alot more than he is. Also with g.smith if he can't get game time we should loan him out as i think in a few seasons I think he will be a decent league one player.

    He started away at Rochdale and put in one of the worst, most feeble displays I've seen by a footballer at any level. The now infamous plantpot had more about it that afternoon. Certainly covered more ground.


    As for Kelly, if he wasn't any good he wouldn't be interesting the richest team in the division. And we've currently got Abbott, Digby and Hourihane as central midfielders. I'm not sure we can afford to wait for Scowen to get fit, we need another body in there asap. Whether that's Kelly or somebody else.
