Scary with the ball at his feet. His passing is surprisingly regressing further.

He can’t pass the football to another Barnsley player. Think that bits obvious enough.

Not been letting too many in. Him & Pinnock look like our best two centre backs. Appreciate Jackson & and an on form Goose will be competing & Pearson too. We always seem blessed with CB's. Just beed a fecking striker.

Very rarely gives the ball away when he’s not under pressure.

Instead of criticising him for going long ask why there’s no players showing for the short pass.

I see what you're saying. I tried to compare Lindsay and Pinnock. There was an instance where Pinnock went long, the ball dropped in behind their full back, who was trying to shield the ball out but due to the weight of the pass, it was never getting there. Hammill forced a throw in deep in their half as a result.

The very next long ball we played was from the other side. Lindsay punted it over the head of Bradshaw and out for a goal kick.

Those long balls are his weakness, but you could argue that he shouldn't have to make them. Very rarely does either Gardner or Williams offer him an outlet, and Fryers only offers a square pass, which he often returns to Lindsay anyway.

Tbh the long balls are a big issue but he gets in a mess with short ones too. He seems to dwell on the ball and find himself under undue pressure far too much.

We play long balls now lad unfortunately. He pumps every single one out of play. His distribution is Scholesesque in comparison to Davies though.

He's been watching Davies and his awful kicking too much in the games and in training...

We do but mainly because players aren’t showing for it which I believes down to a lack of confidence.

Barnes is one who rarely tried to work space to get the ball today.

It’s one of them when you’re Lindsay, ‘do I go short to a midfielder who doesn’t really seem like he wants it or do I go long where if we lose it there’s no harm done’.

Think it’s confidence more than anything, went short a lot more in the Forest & Sunderland games early on
