Ray : "Met this Nurse bird, big tits..." Sam : "She Sounds Enigmatic" Ray : "Nah, she's From Barnsley" Absolute Classic. Like all the best series, leave it with you wanting more.
to be honest - I'm not sure either ! I could explain what I appear to have seen, but may make a fool of myself by completely misinterpreting it. Top show - best drama on the Beeb for a long time imo.
For all those not wanting to know look away now. I was a bit confused I must admit. I think that he was in a coma... and that to return to the 70's he had to place himself back there.
RE: For all those not wanting to know look away now. so he jumped off the building to get back to a coma ??? bit riskey could have been killed !!!
RE: For all those not wanting to know look away now. He must have been in a coma - looking back he can't have been 1970's all along, otherwise how would he have been able to refer to events that hadn't taken place, like the Birmingham Six.
RE: For all those not wanting to know look away now. Well I couldn't see another reason why he would do that... And he did realise when he cut himself that he did not feel the pain.
RE: For all those not wanting to know look away now. You're not supposed to apply logic and think of things like that! A bit like wondering why no-one in Eastenders owns a washing machine. Ian Beale can buy houses and businesses seemingly at will, but, like all the others, takes his washing in a bag for a service wash. Piss Poor.
RE: For all those not wanting to know look away now. aye but eastenders is a story this is reallife !!
It was a classic interpretation of a Jung/Freud scenario And that line made as much sense as the ending to the series. He was in a coma. but when he came back he found he prefered the unreality of the seventies as he felt nothing in the present day......... bit like supporting BFC.
