Today, just before half time, I made my first trip this season to the bar in the ESL. The game was in the last few seconds of the first half, so there was a fairly small queue. So when I got to the front, 30 seconds later, I had to choose between hand pulled Barnsley bitter, bottled lager, or beer in a can. I was going to plump for the hand pull, but when I got there, it was out. Before half time. Good work. There was also a delay, because there was only one member of staff on. When the guy in front of me asked, why she was on her own, she said that her colleague had just gone to get some pint pots, because they were out. What??? Two minutes before half time? "Oh, sh#t, we're on". What have they been doing for the previous 45 minutes? The last time I bothered with Lindleys was the first day of last season, when they had no water in a heatwave, on a day when there was no risk in having surplus stock. Not bothering again. Absolutely rubbish.
well I would always go for a good hand pull at half time have they installed a shower room in the ponte then... or must I still wait for the east stand bog to be free as usual for my needs
Re: well I would always go for a good hand pull at half time Ponty serving hatch. Was about seven in queue but bounce in a minute bloke taking orders from everyone at front so sacked it off. Folk should queue lazy gits.
i refuse to use this amateur company period, pass on how many of the 9000 fans today view this site but it's well know they're sub standard, why folk don't realise its easier to grab or wait for better i don't know, at the ipswich game they had no sugar for nips tea and no ketchup for his mates pie. quite simple, eat drink before or after, only 120 mins ish
Agreed. I never buy food in a ground, because a) I can last the whole 90 minutes, and b) if I needed food I'd chose something in town, on the way up to the ground, ahead of that rubbish. As for drinks, this was a rare occasion I wasn't driving, and I thought I'd take advantage at half time. It's an utter shambles. The club is missing out on easy money, to this shower.
catering was great at donny. there was barriers to queue round with a security bloke watching. you didnt have to fight to front and it was nice grub. what the **** is the" hot dog" its like toby tykes "lipstick"
well a good hand pull is always acceptable be it by a pro or by an amateur the lubrication is the difference... KY and many durex products are ok... Anne Summers and even B&Q have some reasonable oils too but when offered " utterly Buttery" then I am having my suspicions.
Re: well a good hand pull is always acceptable be it by a pro or by an amateur You're really not giving up on this are you?
nowt will change, they will forever sell over priced beer/snap because we will always have a a few K willing to buy it. my usual saturday is a mad rush just to get the game but a greggs is on the way and a pub after
Re: well a good hand pull is always acceptable be it by a pro or by an amateur Pahah! Every game, without fail, he's off his head! "He's gonna bounce in a minute, bounce in a minuuuuuteeee!"
Oakwell sarnie shop for me, either a nice sarnie packed full of everything for a couple of quid, or a really nice piece of pie peas and gravy for a couple of quid!! Proper food at proper prices!! Washed down with a drink at a decent price!
