I am puzzled by the eyesight of the linesman doing our forwards in the second half , every time the ball went out for a throw he looked to the ref to make a decision before putting up his flag which always annoys me & then from a corner with the penalty box rammed with players he manages to see through the lot of them for an alleged foul by Dike on the keeper despite the ref stood 10 yards away not giving it , selective eyesight or what ?

Sky showed the ‘goal’ line technology and it was clearly over the line.

My first reaction when the goal was disallowed, was that Dike backed into the keeper,so i have no problem with it

Stood his ground. Keeper couldn't get past over or around him. He didn't drag hold or anything else untoward. Goal all day long.

The goalie doesn’t own the line. it’s down to the goalie to get to the ball, not for the ref to stop the forward from attempting to get it, by fair means.

You're right, he did back in and stopped the keeper getting to the ball. Clear as day on the replays. Yes, keepers are over-protected these days, but it was a foul, plain & simple and we'd all be bairnin' if it had happened to Collins and not been given.

But DK didn't make any attempt to get to the ball - his efforts went into backing into the keeper and stopping him challenging.

Moving backwards into the keeper isn't 'standing your ground'. Clue is in the name!

The obstruction rule is far more vague than it used to be. Shielding the ball is ok, but to deliberately physically block an opponent to a loose ball is no different than tripping them up. Then you could argue that a player is rightfully occupying a patch of grass? Vague as vague gets. :)

If you look at end of match day recap it shows from behind goal, as I see it nobody touched the keeper he dived on the floor, but no var and absolute chap second rate referees in the championship, but the EFL will hear no wrong about them, maybe that is because they are a chap second rate organisation

Looks pretty clear that Dee-Kay "arses" their keeper into the net from that clip! :D

I think it was a foul

annoying thing is I think we would have scored without the foul. We’ve been on the raw end of some decisions this season but that wasn’t one of them. I actually thought the ref was excellent on Friday. They were doing a hell of a lot of play acting and he didn’t fall for much of it at all.

I generally agree about the ref not falling for some of the play acting. However it ended 19 fouls to 6. That shows just how much play acting they were doing.
