    Colgan was slated last night on here

    despite not being at fault for either goal.

    He always is at the moment!

    He's pulled apart for his kicking as well - must be hard to knock a ball sixty yards out of your hand and hit a target. If that's a problem then get the defenders to look for space and build from the back.Would make sense - can't be that hard we had it hammered into us at school!

    His kicking was awful at the weekend

    but that's not the norm and everybody is allowed an off day. Last night the second goal was a combination of bad defending from Paul Reid, Neil Austin (I think it was him that blocked colgan off at the post) and a few others yet Colgan got the blame somehow. Not sure how that one works.

    Goals conceded in three games before kay was dropped: 2
    Goals conceded in 7 games since kay was dropped: 16

    If it's a problem then it's something that should be addressed by the coaching staff

    Have we still got a keeper coach?

    Somebody on here posted that pressman had taken over but i've not heard anything about that since.

    Colgans form has gone downhill since we got rid of his goalkeeping coach. Coincidence?

    So would he players if they weren't given specific coaching

    I'm a fan of Colgan's and he does get a lot of unnecessary sticjk to be honest.

    Each to their own mate but in my opinion ........

    ..... he isn't good enough. He

    - makes too many gaffs (ball through legs/hands etc);

    - never comes for crosses;

    - he's anchored on his line when the ball is played over the top towards the 18 yarder, which un-nerves the back four and everyone around him;

    - his distribution is awful; and

    - his supposed strength, 'shot-stopping', has deserted him.

    For me we will always struggle defensively with him in goal, the stats do not lie, far too many goals conceded, not all his fault admittedly, but he has contributed greatly to our poor defensive displays this season.
