In case anyone else missed it like me... http://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/news/article/voting-now-open-in-our-end-of-season-awards-3070281.aspx For what it's worth, I voted; Goal of the Season - Hammill vs Oxford Young Player - Alfie Mawson Player of the Year - Adam Hammill
Voted Goal of the season. Connor not because it was the most spectacular ( although it was spectacular ) but because it set the barometer to the fantastic turnaround of a brilliant (half) season. Young player of the year James Bree. Got a goodun in James. Player of the season Adam Hammill , just made the whole mechanism click into place .
What is the criteria for young player of the season? Ben Pearson: 21. Not included Dan Crowley: 18. Not included Ivan Toney: 20 not included Alfie Mawson: 22. Included
Because they played a lot of games for us and the criteria listed on the site is 'must have played 10 games for Barnsley first team this season'
I'm probably guessing A. Being good and B. Being good That rules out the 3 you mentioned joke before anyone gets upset!!
Maybe doubt they would come to collect their award especially Crowley all way from London. Or we could post him it and he could do a brit award style sorry I can't be there video
Goal of the season: Hourihane against Blunts. The turning point of our season. Cracking last minute strike in an important league match, against one of our biggest rivals. Showed lots of strength and character after missing the penalty to come back and do that rather than letting head drop. Young player of the season: Alfie Mawson. Over 50 games this season, one of the best centre halfs in the league, one of the main reasons we've kept so many clean sheets in the second half of the season and I hope he's around for a long time to come. Should be top three in the main award. Player of the year: Conor Hourihane. His first game as captain home to Wigan didn't work out but since then we've been excellent with him in charge of the team. Without his goals and assists on a regular basis we'd be nowhere near where we are in the league. One of the best bits of business we've done this century. First Barnsley captain in over 100 years to lift a cup trophy.
