David Connolly (Sunderland, though I've a feeling he may be injured?) Simon Cox (Swindon, buy, has definite quality) Daryl Murphy (Sunderland, probably loan) Rade Prica (Sunderland, probably loan) Paul Gallagher (Blackburn, buy, time he left Blackburn to forge a career) Nathan Delfouneso (Villa, loan if they buy another striker) Billy Sharp (Deedars, buy as seems to have fallen out with Blackwell) Ched Evans (Man City, loan, not featured in a while and less and less likely to) Chris Porter (Motherwell, buy) Freddie Sears (West Ham, loan - not featured since November) I'm not saying we can afford them all, or that they're all available, but I'd be highly surprised if we couldn't get any of them if willing to splash a little. Speculate to accumulate and all that.
Mine Better than what we've got who can score and create goals, preferably with a bit of presence about them. Don't care who it is.
Indeed I can't see why any of those I listed are unrealistic and I'd stick my neck on the line and back all of them to be a success. Whether they'd come I obviously don't know, but I think most would be available, then it's down to whether they've got the desire to play rather than sitting on the bench or in the reserves every week.
Porter is a definite possibility Noises coming out of Fir Park are that he wants to come back to England, but maybe not until his contract is up in the summer. Arfield(midfielder from Falkirk) and Murphy(winger/striker from Motherwell) would do me nicely!
Porter will wait until the summer and get another fat signing on fee like when he left Oldham Athletic.
Well if he had gone to another English club Oldham would have got some good compo for him. By going north of the border Motherwell got him for nothing and he probably got a six figure signing on fee.
