did Bri disrespect fans, have club shafted him, its all ******. Brian Howard did not want to sign a new deal at the club. He has ambition, he dunt love BFC like we do, so like or not, blunts ARE a bigger club and have promotion ambitions. I once heard Howard talking to a lad in full house last season sometime before we had played Chelsea, and this kid asked him...play in semi final at wembley, or help keep BFC in championship. I was distraught when his answer was to play at wembley in semi final. I could have clouted the git. But when you step back and think about it..all it is is ambition..shop window, and thats what he got a taste of last season. He wants to continue upwards and he feels he has a better chance of that at a club that averages 20k plus at home and can spend 4 mil on a striker etc etc etc. To me, its that simple!!
It is - just like the majority of the human race do the best for yourself with what you've been dealt in life
RE: 100%agree, it also shows what lack of ambition Barnsley has nt Shonie i fully agree, i have asperations in life, i don't want to stick to the job i have now. Bert Sinclair - did the club show a lack of ambition when they nearly signed phillips????
I'm not sure that they did nearly sign Phillips tho. It was a "box office" name. They spoke to agents once and said they would "top" any other offer no matter what (according to PC). But they never even had contact with KP..unfortunately.
http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11713_3797839,00.html pretty comprehensive statement from SD that we did talk to him, we did offer him a contract where money wasn't the deciding factor.
OK clever dick, I dont have the link the PC's statement in Chronicle well after that saying that the club ONLY spoke on the phone with "his people" not him. You know what Davey's like, he makes his mouth say owt.
