Is he on about with the run of result he has had he could be sacked, like he mentioned after last 2 games?
Yes that and more nuggetts of wisdom about thanking the club for the experience if Hills has given up lets hop it doesn't rub off on the team... listen to Radio Sheff mate and you'll see what I mean
Yes, it was very odd tonight because he also said something like 'ive learnt a lot which will help me at Barnsley or another club'
Re: I guess it's this one I suppose everyone listens to things with their own preconceptions but I genuinely can't see what issue anyone has with that interview. I thought it was honest, bullish, understanding towards the fans and explained what the game plan was tactically whilst identifying that we didnt create in the final third
Re: I guess it's this one The problem is that many on hear listen to interviews and often quote ver batum, but out of context cos it suits there particualr frame of mind. I also heard nothing in that interview that would make me come to the conclusion of the original poster. Thought is was a very honest response to the questions asked.
Re: I guess it's this one I agree about the strange comments, having been previously so forthright and direct. Is the situation worse than he thought it would be? He seems to have praised the players for effort even when the outcome has been poor, so has there been a crisis of confidence amongst the players over the departures of Drinkwater, then VazTe and finally Butterfield? It can't do much for confidence, can it, and this has nothing to do with the fans' attitudes, as far as I can see. We do seem to be cutting back and not investing in a far more drastic way than similar clubs. Is Hill just trying in every different way to boost player morale as much as possible. Sometimes, the player body language is not great. Just a hint of investment might be helpful, especially when good players have left on the cheap and replacements of similar status have not been brought in. If this stage is about rebuilding for next season, there should be stronger signs that it is going to happen.
He gets a bit too emotional for a football manager, Keith. Too neurotic. I like him but I think this will be is undoing. Needs to learn how to keep it buttoned, stop thinking out loud so much - we all do it, part of growing up but the technology gives immediate exposure with no time to edit. Time was, to have a opinion heard you would have to first gain a vantage point, usually through print media, but now anyone can say whatever they like hence the likes of Hemsworth Tyke and 'thereev' who thinks he is being ever so cleverly subversive. I take it with a large bucket of salt, but I do like Hemsie.
cleverly subversive I dont think im that, i dont even know what it means. i just post, dont think im anything.
No, I meant thereev thinks he is being subversive of web chat. It just means taking the piss out of the bbs. You are very honest and straight forward, a bit inexperienced but we've all been like that. Just didn't have internet then so nobody listened to what we thought.
In the medium we have to stick with Hill. I think the last three months have been by far the worst in the last six years, and when you think of the dross Davey served up this is no mean feat. The problem for Hill starts and ends at the top which means that he has a very restricted budget and we end up with the limited talentless players that we have signed from League One. I think Hill could have got far more from the players than he has since 31st December and his tactics have been suspect to say the least. The injuries are a contributing factor but should not be used as a get out clause which are some are trying to do on here. I also think the bloke is a complete ****** but not as dislikeable as Davey. It all boils down to the fact that no one else would want to come in and take on that squad because it would be doomed to fail but we cannot afford to rebuild the squad and we cannot afford to sack Hill, Flitcroft and the rest of the backroom staff.
