Bit disappointed so far that our so called "marquee" signings have failed to hit the ground running. The likes of Luke Berry, Sam Winnall and Conor Hourihane (all untried at this level) outshining them at the current rate. There is only Peter Ramage that's dropped down a level that is looking a real part which you should expect from a seasoned pro. I do think that in with a firing lita and treacy, we would be untouchable in this league going forward but the hard part is getting them bothered, and firing. I wouldn't know who to dislodge at this minute in titimto give them a shot anyway as it seems Danny knows his team now and knows his strongest eleven for this current time. Just a bit frustrating to have such quality in our squad and see them festering not being bothered and picking up a wage. Hope to see the best of them soon.
I've been thinking for a while now that it might be time to give Lita another opportunity. When he was in the side before most players other than Hourihane were struggling for form and we looked poor as a side. He still managed 2 goals in that time as well. The way we're playing now I think Lita would be a great option upfront.
I heard a whisper that Lita might be on his way out. I don't know if it's true or not but based on what I've seen so far I could forgive Danny for preferring other options and calling time on his stay at the club.
I fully expected Lita to be useless. I was told by someone who watched him a fair few times last year that his legs were gone. But I expected Treacy & Jennings to be our star players & that we'd a threat down both wings but in reality they've been that poor we've resorted to not playing wingers
For me, these two experienced signings have been the biggest disappointment of the season so far. However, I'm certainly not going to write them off and still hope they can make a positive contribution. Loss of form, injuries, suspensions will all play their part throughout the season, so we will still need everyone to be ready & available.
