Natives getting restless. https://www.otib.co.uk/index.php?/topic/197842-can-anyone-make-a-case-for-sticking-with-lj/
Interesting what they are posting about LJ not learning. It's a really strange one with him, I think wherever he's coached he's been unable to get any consistency going across a whole season. I am convinced if he'd stayed with us we'd have missed the play offs that season because he wouldn't have been able to resist tinkering with the bloody team during that good run!!! He seems to win a few games and then go on an horrendous run and repeat, he's also spent a fair amount of money at Bristol City too. Their fans must be so frustrated knowing that even if they win a few matches they are likely to go on a terrible run!
My thoughts exactly about him tinkering. Oldham told us what he was like, and we told the Bristol City fans, but just like us with Oldham, they thought it was sour grapes. The only sour grapes is that he was ever here. As you say, it must be very frustrating for Bristol, because they have developed the ground, are getting decent crowds and seem ready to push on to the next stage, but it's like snakes and ladders with the results. He's stealing a living.
The vorst manager I’ve ever seen here. And I include Morais in that. Making the play offs in spite of having to endure him for 4/5 months of the season showed how good a squad ve had that season and should have been valking the league. He didnt turn the fortunes around, Hammill did by forcing him to play 4-4-2 more than his individual impact. Something anyone vith any brain cells could see ve needed to do. Never known any other manager have such staunch backing from different owners before either, both here during that 9 game losing run and then at Bristol City. How he even came into thinking for the job in the first place both for us and Bristol beggars belief. If ve’d have sacked him after the Altrincham game like should have happened, his next job vould have been Cheltenham or Yeovil or someone like that.
Theres been some bad ones but little Lee takes the title for me. Mawson, Roberts, Scowen, Hourihane, Watkins, Winnall bottom of league one.
Even Spackman never lost eight league games in a row, whilst getting knocked out of the cup by a team who finished the season getting relegated to the Conference North. And I say this as someone who DESPISES Spackman.
Spackman never got us to Wembley or won 7 pm the spin like lee Jay did before he left. Not the worst manager ever imo
Oh I forgot how this forum vorks. Dont agree vith certain posters and your ‘prejudiced’. He vas appalling. Played dire football, players out of position, had favourites, talked in riddles and thought he vas a genius for it, had a brilliant side in the relegation zone.
Why are you posting with Vs instead of Ws. It’s fecking pointless and not in slightest bit funny. It’s a forum where people post in English language
Do you mean "oh I forgot hov this forum vorks" or is it only funny if the W is at the beginning of the word?
I thought he was dreadful with us. Centre mid’s on the wing, dull, bland, slow build up football & then getting hit on the counter attack time after time & him taking months to do anything about it. If I could sum up his time with us with one game it’d be that Shrewsbury game when we had all the possession, did nothing with it & then Jordan Clark bagged a last minute winner for them at Oakwell. Don’t really know where Bristol should be in the league but if he’s anything like he was with us I can see why people would get frustrated
No I don’t think because you disagree with me you must be prejudiced to him .i think your prejudiced because because of your sentiment towards him . Another casting aspersions because you’ve been challenged
Couldn’t stand the bloke to be honest, defeat was always somebody else’s fault.Trouble with him is he thinks he’s a tactical genius, even when things were going reasonably well he couldn’t resist tinkering and mucking about, switching to weird tactics players played ridiculously out of position etc
