i did give the figures earlier which were plucked off the top of my big head (forhead like Gervinho!)..

but 'Red Rag' disputed those numbers and reckoned Donny had had 1, like us.. and both deedars 2 apiece..

i have now found out the real figures..

think the top of my head was spot on..
TARN = 1 (soon to be 2)
DONNY = 4 (2 league 2 cup)
FOWLS = 4 (2 league 2 cup)
BLUNTS = 5 (3 league 2 cup)
and with Dannys league one boys from Brazil being an early kick-off satdi, u can make that 6 live games from 7.. dunno yet who the other 3pm game will be on AM but u would hope its Chesterfield away trek to Exeter.. that would be the FAIR choice.. so get ur money on it being Wendys against local rivals Scunny at Swilsbro..

If you are going to bash the station why not just not listen to them? I bet most of the moaners still tune in to help with the listener figures. Looking at the above based on league games coverage we have done alright so far after saturday. It's unfair to compare every match as of course the Sheffield clubs are going to get more coverage overall when they are getting further in the cup than us. Personally it wouldn't bother me if none of our matches ever got on Radio Sheffield as maybe then our club would make more money through Player and people turning up more home and away than getting a free radio listen.

I didn't exactly dispute your figures. I simply said I thought Donny had had only one, and if I remember rightly I discounted Cup games. Donny against Tranmere and Leeds were cup games. So that would leave 2. If they covered the Brighton match then the fact did not appear on their proposed coverage page in the run up to the game, so that's where I got the figure 1 from.

In any case I couldn't give a flying shiiyte - as I have player, when it f'king works.

 

Players camera must have broke today - No press conference footage up like there usually is. Technical Difficulties i bet!!

 

i was just putting it out there Albert.. and no it isnt unfair to compare it.. they got ONE round further in the cup, wow.. after satdi, the top club in the region will have had 2 matches featured.. which i applaud as im sure im not alone in being unable to get to Millwall, or Reading last week.. but the Blunts of League One will have had 7! thats 5 more! or 4 more if u take away the extra cup game.. hardly fits with the ethos of being fair, or "following the story" and neither does it compare favourably to the years that WE were a league below when we got blanked.. the station brings it on themselves by making comments such as Walker saying "the 2 Sheffield clubs are in a higher division" and "yes if it was the other way round then Barnsley would get better coverage"
and yes, i understand why.. i know the reasons behind it.. they fell out with BFC.. its called Radio Sheffield.. the presenters are nearly all deedars.. the majority of listeners will be deedars, etc etc.. but none of em wash.. (the excuses i mean, im sure deedars wash, sometimes)..
but i wont stop moaning, nor listening, as they are 2 things i excel at..

Doesn't bother me what Radio Sheffield presenters think of us. Not as if they are Barnsley fans who put money into our club. I wasn't that Prince Albert bloke. I didn't post 22,000 times on here under a pseudonym over a number of years for people to gain good/bad opinions of me splitting views for me to just sign up under a new name. Can't stand the wrestler Prince Albert either lol. I don't plan on becoming a regular here again. This is my 3rd post in months and months here. First to send my best about Laura, 2nd replying to you and 3rd being this one. I hope the new look BBS works out and becomes as popular as the old one. Too many of the posters I liked reading views from are either never around no more or post very rarely. This does include those I didn't always get on with but who at least carried conversations forward by giving an alternative view to mine. As an occasional browser the quality of posters has gone downhill for all to see compared to say two years ago. Too much bad English, negativity ect.
